Our program took first place in the “Mentoring In The Social Sphere”

On February 13-15, 2018 the All-Russian Forum «Mentor — 2018» took place in Moscow. During the Forum, the winners of the contest «Best Practices of Mentoring» were awarded. The mentoring practices in various fields were presented, and our program took first place in the nomination for “Mentoring In The Social Sphere”. Executive Director of «Big Brothers Big Sisters,» Alexandra Telitsyna, noted that «first place is not only recognition, but also a certain credit of trust, which the organization will try to justify.»

Moreover, on February 13, within the framework of the Forum, there was a plenary discussion with such participants as federal ministers and heads of major funds. They have talked over the issues of developing a professional mentoring environment. The moderator of the discussion was Alexandra Telitsyna.

Specialists of «Big Brothers Big Sisters» participated at the Forum as experts, they conducted master classes at several forum venues, and shared the best practices, methodology, and practical knowledge with other participants. The head of the Moscow office of the program Alexandra Gnutova made a presentation, «Starting Mentoring Programs: Mistakes That You Will Not Do.» The curator of the program, Ruslana Yatsenko, conducted a master class called, «I am a mentor: How do I avoid emotional burnout?» She was also a speaker at the session, “Support for Mentors: Methodical Support and Training of Curators, Mentors, and Mentees».
