Our team

The most important tasks are performed by our case managers. Every day they’re engaged in supporting couples, they meet or phone volunteers, talk to children. They also supervise orphanages and families, assist with organizing different events and train volunteers.

At different stages of my life I had mentors and was a mentor myself. It’s very important to have a person who’ll support and help you in difficult situations or who‘ll teach you how to behave in new circumstances. Sometimes it’s enough to be aware of having such a person in your life to become stronger and more self-confident. I wish everybody to find such a person nearby when he’s necessary. I know from experience that it’s very important! Our organization “Big Brothers Big Sisters” is engaged in mentoring children in difficult living situations. It’s a big deal and I’m so glad to be part of a great professional team and to be involved in development of mentoring.

I worked in marketing for more than 10 years. In the same time I was interested in different social projects and did charity work. In 2016 I learnt about “Big Brothers Big Sisters” programme and was lucky to become a part of the team. I’m firmly convinced that the format of the programme really moves children’s lives forward. It’s important for me to use my skills and experience for achieving positive goals.

Since July 2008 till July 2015 I was working in telecommunications and was studying in the same time. Since November 2015 I’m a curator in “Big Brothers Big Sisters”. I supervise the orphanage “Alije Parusa”. In this center I’ve got my Junior, Artem, 10 years old.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters” for me is an opportunity to do what I love and to do an important thing at the same time. I believe that the program really changes children’s lives for the better. Mentors give attention and resources to those children who suffered from a shortage of them from the beginning. I’m extremely inspired by communication with volunteers who participate in the program for many years and whose friendship with Littles became really close relationship. Such stories are particularly motivating. Simultaneously I practice counseling in the private sector and write stories.

I’m a psychologist. I graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Psychology. I’m engaged in charity work for more than 15 years and this is my deliberate choice. The most valuable things in my work are children’s smiles and happy glint in their eyes. I believe that changes are possible even in the most difficult situations. This is the sense of my activity.

Graduated from Moscow City University of Psychology and Pedagogy. After the university I worked in home-based school for children with special needs. In 2012 I entered “Big Brothers Big Sisters”. I see that children desperately need friendship with their mentors. I observe how they change for the better feeling an older friend’s support and acceptance. And this is the most valuable in my work.

Six-seven years ago, my ideas about charity and volunteering were at the level of an infusoria. Then it happened that when I was creating an educational project with my friends I found myself in the rehabilitation center for children with cerebral palsy, and so I stayed there as a volunteer. Over time, my desire to withdraw from business and to participate in NPO projects was intensified. Thoughts, fighting my own fears, the temptation to leave the country, different opinions … I had it all. But the most important thing always comes in due time, and for 4 years now I have been doing an amazing program «Big Brothers Big Sisters» in St. Petersburg!

This is an honest story where not only children learn and change, but their mentors discover new facets, learn to be surprised again, to fly, to believe and look at life in a completely different way. I believe mentoring is the key to success!

«Do not be afraid that people do not know you, be afraid that you do not know people». These are not my words, they were said by Confucius. However, for many years it has been the motto of my life. It’s a great joy to be a part of a unique program where I meet amazing people and help them get to know each other.
